Helping people through

Life and its transitions.

About Me

When looking for a therapist you should consider training and experience. It will also be important to evaluate how you feel with someone and if a sense of trust can be developed. Please call or email me to set up an initial phone consultation and we can talk more about the best fit for you. Below you’ll find some helpful information about me to help inform your decision.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My Master’s degree is in Clinical Psychology and I have over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults, couples, adolescents, and children. I have received special training in psychodynamic and analytic psychotherapy, developmental psychology, as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy.

I am very comfortable and experienced in working with people struggling with a variety of issues and from different backgrounds. My specialties are listed throughout my website and I’m happy to provide a free phone consultation to discuss how I might be of help to you or your family.

In addition to my private practice, I am the Director of Clinical Chapters for A Home Within, the only national organization dedicated solely to meeting the emotional needs of current or former foster youth. We recruit mental health professionals who volunteer to see one foster child in weekly therapy – free of charge for as long as it takes. We also provide trainings on trauma, infant, child, and teen development, and parenting support.

I also guest lecture for many universities around the Bay Area and provide trainings and consultation to other mental health professionals on child/adolescent development, ADHD, perinatal depression/anxiety, twice-exceptional kids, trauma, attachment, relationships, divorce, eating disorders, medical illnesses, and parenting.

Please don’t hesitate to call me with any questions to see if we might be a good fit in working together.
