About Me

When looking for a therapist you should consider training and experience. It will also be important to evaluate how you feel with someone and if a sense of trust can be developed. Please call or email me to set up an initial phone consultation and we can talk more about the best fit for you. Below you’ll find some helpful information about me to help inform your decision.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My Master’s degree is in Clinical Psychology and I have over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults, couples, adolescents, and children. I have received special training in psychodynamic and analytic psychotherapy, developmental psychology, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

I have received special training in psychodynamic and analytic psychotherapy, developmental psychology, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

I am very comfortable and experienced in working with people struggling with a variety of issues, from all different backgrounds. My specialties are listed throughout my website and I’m happy to provide a free phone consultation to discuss how I might be of help to you or your family.

In addition to my private practice, I was the Director of Clinical Chapters for A Home Within for over a decade – the only national organization dedicated solely to meeting the emotional needs of current or former foster youth. Though I no longer run their program, I am a volunteer and provide trainings on trauma, infant, child, and teen development, as well as parenting support.

It also may be helpful to know I lecture for many universities around the Bay Area and provide trainings and consultation to other mental health professionals on cancer and living with stage IV, child/adolescent development, ADHD, divorce, coparenting, postpartum depression/anxiety, twice-exceptional kids, trauma, attachment, relationships, eating disorders, medical illnesses, and parenting.

Please don’t hesitate to call me with any questions to see if we might be a good fit in working together.
